Project Overview:
I created this self‑initiated photo campaign to explore my automotive photography and design skills using my own new 2026 KIA Sportage X‑Line as the subject. I wanted to treat the project as if it were a commercial advertising campaign, giving myself full creative freedom to experiment with lighting, composition, and brand‑driven visuals. My goal was to elevate the car beyond typical dealership photography and produce imagery that feels intentional, cinematic, and aligned with modern automotive advertising. This project was purely for fun, but it became a great opportunity to push my creative direction, photography, and design integration skills.
Process & Actions:
I started by identifying what I felt was missing from typical dealership photography and studying the visual style of higher‑end automotive campaigns. From there, I planned my shots around lighting, angles, and locations that would highlight the Sportage X‑Line’s personality. I photographed the car using a mix of dynamic compositions and detail‑focused shots, then edited the images to create a cohesive, cinematic look. Finally, I designed a series of mock ads to show how the photos could function in a real campaign and to demonstrate how I merge photography with layout and branding skills.
Solution & Results:
This culminated in producing a cohesive set of cinematic automotive images that reimagined my 2026 KIA Sportage X‑Line as part of a polished ad campaign, using careful shooting, editing, and layout design to elevate it beyond typical dealership photography. Applying the photos to mock ads helped me show how the visuals could function across real marketing formats and highlighted how my photography and design skills work together. Through this project, I strengthened my confidence in automotive lighting, composition, and color grading while refining my ability to build a full campaign from concept to execution. Most importantly, the process reminded me how much I enjoy creating passion projects that let me experiment freely and push my creative direction.
